Summer Pottery with Sidsel

Join us at the Wheel! There is something truly relaxing about the feeling of wet clay between your hands. We invite you to spend a summer afternoon discovering the art of pottery under the warm, expert guidance of Sidsel. Whether you have never touched a turning machine before or you are an intermediate potter looking to polish your technique, this workshop is a supportive space to explore your creativity and find your rhythm.
Our time together is a focused 2.5-hour session — the perfect escape to immerse yourself in the craft. We will spend about 2 hours and 15 minutes at the wheel, leaving the last 15 minutes to mindfully clean our machines and transition back to the day.
By the end of the workshop, you will have brought something unique into the world: a small bowl or a cup that is uniquely yours. If you find your natural rhythm quickly, you might even finish two pieces!
To ensure a more intimate, focused, and supportive experience for everyone, each of our workshop sessions is limited to a maximum of 4 participants.
Together, we will walk through the soulful process of:
wedging clay to prepare it for turning
centering the clay at the turning machine
basic pulling techniques to shape a bowl, a cup, or a vase
Price: 550 kr. per person.
To make your experience as seamless as possible, your registration includes everything you need to start creating:
500 gr clay (extra 500 gr can be purchased for 50 kr.)
Firing & Glazing (you can choose among 6 types of dipping glazes)
Sidsel will take care of trimming your pieces once they become leather dry
If you find yourself falling in love with your piece and want to take it even further, we offer these optional ways to personalize your work:
You can book a follow up session for trimming your piece with Sidsel (price 200 kr.)
You can book a follow up glazing session to personalize your pieces using our wide selection of brush-on glazes (price 150 kr.)
